Information about the South Cheshire village of Hankelow

On this page:-

General Information.

Cheshire East say they have been made aware of a scam where fraudsters are sending fake text messages claiming to be from the council, demanding payment for a parking fine. These messages are not from the council - they say they would never text about a penalty charge notice issued by the council.

Snugbury's ice cream farm has launched a dinosaur trail and sunflower field.

There has been another pollution incident in the Weaver, with thousands of fish dead in the river in Nantwich.

Cheshire East have published an article about some interesting new discoveries found in the county archives as part of the preparaions for moving into new premises.

The Government have increased the Cheshire East housing targets from 997 dwellings per year to 2471. The Council are calling for the target to be cut.

It is assumed that Hankelow residents keep up to date with Audlem on Line. Local information is also to be found in Nantwich News,  and Cheshire East Media releases can be seen here.
Local planned roadworks information can be found on the
One.network website.
Residents who like to walk across the Weaver bridges in Hankelow may want to
check the river water level if the weather has been bad.
